I. DESCRIPTION OF THE INFORMATION WE GATHER AND HOW WE USE IT

Aggregated Information

In common with many commercial organizations, we monitor the use of this site by collecting aggregate information through the use of cookies (see below).

We usually collect information about the number of visitors to the site, each page, and the originating domain name of the visitor’s Internet Service Provider.

This information is used to understand the visitor’s use of the site, and may be shared with other Group companies and others.

There are no reasonable means available for us to determine the identity of end users from the aggregate information.

Personal Information

If it is necessary for you to register to use this site or to fill out a registration form (e.g. to register to purchase services, or to get e-mail updates), then we will collect personally identifiable information about you, such as your name, ID number, date of birth, home address, e-mail address, country of residence, and other information that you voluntarily submit.

We intend to continue improving the content and functionality of our website. Therefore, we may collect information about how you in particular use this site through the use of cookies (and other similar technologies) (see below).

We may also monitor user traffic patterns and site usage to help us improve the design and layout of our site and thus customize your experience by adapting the content you see, thereby optimizing your user experience. We may also perform statistical analysis on our members’ accounts to determine, among other things, how many of them are active, how often they are used, and how many of our other sites you are registered with.

Occasionally, we may obtain sensitive personal information about you, for example, information regarding your health or physical or mental condition or that of your family members, beneficiaries of services provided by the BioParque platform; but only if you voluntarily provide us with such information.

By providing us with such information, you are consenting to its processing for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and in any collecting notice provided.

We may additionally obtain information about your opinion if, for example, you send us feedback, or ask us questions.

We may also occasionally receive information about you from other sources (such as third parties or other Group companies) that will be added to information we already have about you to help us improve and customize our services for you.

If you provide us with information about another person, e.g. a relative of yours, you confirm that he or she has referred you to act for him or her, consented to the processing of personal data information, including sensitive personal data, and that you have informed him or her of our identity and purposes (as defined in this Privacy Policy) for which your personal data information will be processed.

We may release personal information data to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation, or in response to a non-binding request for information by a government or state agency.

You consent us to transfer your information to countries or jurisdictions that do not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. If we do make such a transfer, we will ensure that your information is protected appropriately while in transit and while remaining in the country of destination.

III. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

We have appropriate security policies to ensure, in the most reasonable way possible, the security and integrity of all our information, including your personal information.

IV. USE OF COOKIES

Below is a summary of our use of cookies; for a more complete explanation of what a cookie is, visit “aboutcookies.org”.

In general terms, cookies are small text files that are sent to your browser and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies act as memory for a website, allowing that website to remember your computer when you access it again.

This is particularly important for sites that require you to login, as it speeds up your access.

We use both session cookies (which only last until you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which last for a longer and more specific period).

Some of our online advertising pieces may send a cookie to your hard drive (regardless of whether you click on them). If you then visit the advertising site, we will know that you have seen our piece. This allows us to keep a record of the success rate of such communications.

We also include web beacons (also known as clear GIFs or web bugs) in our e-mails to record the success of our marketing campaigns. This means that if you open an email from us and click on the integrated link, we can see which pages of our site you have visited.

Our web beacons do not store additional information on your computer, but when you communicate with our cookies on your computer, they can tell us when you opened your e-mail. If you have objections to the use of web beacons, we recommend that you follow the instructions below to delete existing cookies and disable future cookies.

In addition, we will know how many of our e-mails have been opened and will automatically receive your IP address, a unique identifier of your computer or other access device; but we will not identify you as an individual because this information is aggregated.

Most browsers accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser settings to refuse new cookies, disable existing ones, or simply notify you when new cookies are sent to your hard drive. However, be aware that if you refuse or disable cookies, some of the site’s functionality may be lost.

If you want to delete any cookies that are already on your computer, please refer to the instructions in your file management software to locate the file or directory that stores cookies. Our cookies will have the filenames nomeedeusuario@www.bioparquebrasil.txt or nomedeusuario@ www.bioparquebrasil.txt.

If you want cookies no longer to be stored on your computer in the future, please refer to your browser manufacturer’s instructions by clicking on “Help” in your browser menu.

Additional information on deleting or controlling cookies is available at aboutcookies.org”.

V. AGENTS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS

They may need access to your personal information to perform their tasks.

However, please be assured that they are not permitted to use your personal information for any other purpose.

VI. CHILDREN

Our website is targeted at an adult audience (people seeking information about the BioParque and its related services). We do not purposely collect information from children and about them.

Do not use this site if you are under 18.

VII. INAPPROPRIATE CONDUCT

We may use the information we collect and/or receive about you to investigate and help prevent illegal activity or activity that threatens our network or otherwise jeopardizes the provision of this site; and we may disclose such information to third parties (such as the police) for these purposes.

VIII. ACCESS AND CORRECTIONS

If we process personal information about you, then you have the right, in accordance with the General Law on Personal Data Protection (LGPD), Law No. 13.709/2018, to request access to this personal information.

You also have the right to demand that any inaccuracy in your information be corrected free of charge.

You can ask us to modify any details that are incorrect via the Contact section. Please enter your name, username (if any), registration details (if any) and the name of this site clearly in all communications.

IX. OTHER INFORMATION

You should note that if our business (or any part of it) is sold or transferred at any time, the information we maintain may be part of the transferred assets, but will nevertheless be used only in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

For quality control and training purposes, we may monitor or record your communication with us.
